STEAC (Short Term Emergency Aid Committee)

STEAC helps Yolo County’s low-income residents through a temporary emergency with these services: Homelessness Prevention - Helps Yolo County’s low-income residents through an emergency in order to keep them from joining the ranks of the homeless with these services: eviction prevention, first month’s rent and/or deposit, utility assistance, and bill pay. Helping Hand - Helps fight food insecurity in our community and provides everyday needs to the most vulnerable residents with these services: weekly food distributions at the STEAC Food Pantry, food packs for kids, food packs for homeless individuals, senior food deliveries, and the STEAC Holiday Program. Road to Independence - Helps residents overcome barriers to becoming employed with these services: job certifications and licenses, legal documents, day-to-day essential expenses, work and everyday clothing, and textbook assistance for qualifying college students.
